Andrea was born in Italy and studied architecture at the University IUAV inVenice and the ETSAM, Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid graduating in 2012. Andrea worked for Nieto y Sobejano, Carlana Mezzalira Pentimalli, Coffey Architects and Allies and Morrison before funding his own practice in 2020.

Prior to establishing Andrea Ruffilli Architects, Andrea gained professional experience in Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom. He worked on a series of high profile residential, hospitality, and cultural projects, including Grand Design shortlisted House of the Year Modern Mews, the civic library Kulturbaum, the Contemporary Art Centre in Córdoba Cacc.

Andrea is a registered architect in the UK (ARB) and Italy, and a chartered member of the RIBA Royal Institute of British Architects also qualified to practice in Europe and Switzerland. In addition to design work, Andrea has been teaching assistant at University IUAV in Venice.
